I did not wake up at 5am to be basic
Hate is an ugly word. But I really hate excuses and, even more, I cannot stand an unwillingness to try.

I made a decision LONG ago that my health is a MAJOR priority. You do not have to be a fitness instructor/health coach in order for your health to be a top priority. You also don’t have to be in the fitness industry to look and feel your best… What you must do is SHOW UP and DO THE WORK.
We all started from somewhere. I started running two miles on the treadmill at a 12 minute MINUTE MILE pace some 12 years ago and it SUCKED. Those brief moments of hell never killed me, they made me who I am and I continue to push harder and harder every day. We are always getting better and I invite you to join in the hustle.
People want to be healthy but they are unwilling to put in the work. It’s maddening. Nothing good ever happened without sacrifice. On a very real level, men and women sacrifice their lives for our country’s freedom. Mothers sacrifice their bodies for 12+ months to give birth to and nurse their children. Parents sacrifice time with their children to go to work and earn a living. Why in the world do I look like I have three heads when I ask someone to sacrifice a little extra sleep or a late night out with friends to wake the f*ck up and Conquer 30 minutes of exercise? If you don’t want it… fine, stay in bed. If you are griping and moaning about not being able to fit in your jeans or dreading going to the beach for spring break… I don’t have time for your excuses. Go back to bed.
When I invite someone to work out, there is absolutely nothing worse in my world than getting a response of “Oh, but I have a really busy day, so I don’t think I can make it”. I walk away thinking, “That’s interesting, because I was up at 5am for my workout… I made it to work by 8:30 am for about a 10 hour day. I Came home to make dinner, care for my son, clean house, and put some workouts together for a client before bed at 10pm.” My husband works 16 hour days. I am basically a single working parent some weeks and I could use every excuse in the book to not show up, but I don’t. This does not at all make me a hero; it just shows you that it is possible. It is possible to make small sacrifices and establish good habits to make your health a priority.
it will be early in the morning...but, This spring there is going to be an open invitation to work out with my crew once a week - starting in April and running into the fall. I want to teach everyone that I can reach how to escape their excuses, by working out at home and unleashing that strong able body deep within.
Just show up. I’m not as scary as I seem.
